Launching payments in Peru: the stack
Paying out in Peru means crediting soles or US dollars to bank accounts identified by their CCI, or soles to wallets such as Yape and Plin, over CCE immediate transfers that run 24x7 up to S/ 30,000 or US$10,000 per transfer, with CCE deferred transfers and the BCRP's LBTR system carrying larger business-day payments. Cross-border senders typically use payout partners such as dLocal, EBANX, Nium or Localpayment, local banks such as Interbank and BCP, the BCRP's published interbank rate as the FX reference, and Didit or Verifik for DNI and RUC checks.

Licensing: who can pay out in Peru
- The BCRP's Reglamento General del Sistema Nacional de Pagos (Circular 0022-2025-BCRP), in force since 1 April 2026, is the framework rule for the national payment system; it defines Entidades de Servicios de Pago as payment service providers not authorised to offer deposit or electronic money accounts, which must be authorised by or registered with the BCRP, and the BCRP publishes the list of authorised or registered entities. source
- Money transfer companies (empresas de transferencia de fondos) are authorised by the SBS under Resolución SBS 1025-2005, and electronic money issuers under Resolución SBS 6284-2013. source
- Every person or company that buys and sells foreign currency in Peru must register in the SBS 'Registro de Empresas y Personas que efectúan Operaciones Financieras o de Cambio de Moneda'; operating without registration leads to closure of the premises. source
- Decreto Supremo 006-2023-JUS made virtual asset service providers (PSAV) obligated persons reporting to UIF-Perú, and Resolución SBS 02648-2024 set their AML rules under UIF supervision; it is an AML regime, not a licence. source
- Resolución SBS 01917-2026 (21 July 2026) postponed the PSAV travel rule chapter, due on 1 August 2026, to 1 January 2029. source
