Why this matters for prefunding

What to watch
Highest-risk window: Monday 8 to Monday 15 March 2027. Nyepi (8 Mar), Idul Fitri (10 and 11 Mar) and three collective leave days (9, 12 and 15 Mar) join up with the weekend, so BI-RTGS and SKNBI are expected to be closed for eight days in a row, as they were for the whole of the 2026 Idul Fitri period. The last business day before it is Friday 5 March. Idul Fitri and Idul Adha are confirmed by the Minister of Religious Affairs after the moon sighting and can move by a day. A second block runs from Monday 17 to Thursday 20 May 2027 (Idul Adha, two collective leave days and Vesak). At year-end 2026, Christmas closes Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 December and New Year closes Friday 1 January. BI-FAST runs 24/7 on every holiday and collective leave day, so instant rupiah payouts continue while BI-RTGS top-ups wait for the next business day.
