Why this matters for prefunding
When Haiti banks or payment rails close, a top-up sent to a local payout partner may not land until the next business day. Remittance demand often rises around the same holidays. Fund the corridor before the closure, sized for the closed days plus your normal top-up lead time. Check your corridor runway.

What to watch
Haiti's holidays are set by the government, and the Presidency adds days at short notice: on 10 August 2026 it declared Friday 14 August (Bois-Caiman and Union for Liberty) and Saturday 15 August holidays and non-working days. The 2027 list has not been published, so all 2027 dates are marked expected. Densest windows: early November, with Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 November 2027 back to back after the weekend and Vertieres on Thursday 18 November, and year end, when banks close at midday on 24 and 31 December. Easter 2027 closes banks on Good Friday 26 March. SPIH transfers are processed Monday to Friday only, with a 14:30 same-day cut-off at Capital Bank, so nothing settles on weekends or holidays.
